Biography
Kun Gao is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Sherbrooke Park Advisers, a quantitative hedge fund. He has 20 years of investment experience trading global stocks. Most recently, before founding Sherbrooke Park Advisers, Kun was the Head of Quant Equity Research and a Member of the Investment Committee at AIG Investments.
Prior to AIG, Kun was a senior portfolio manager managing equity stat-arb portfolios at several leading investment management firms, including Tudor Investment Corporation, Balyasny Asset Management, and WorldQuant. Kun started his investment career as a senior research analyst at Citadel Investment Group right after graduate school.
Kun received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Yale University and his B.S. in Statistics from Peking University. While in graduate school, Kun was a research scientist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Kun is a Trustee of the Friends of the East Asian Library at Yale, and is a Trustee of the Yale-China Association.
