Biography
Sam is Head of AI at ZMMC, a Fortune 500 enterprise specializing in the distribution of steel, oil, and wood products.
Previously, Sam was a Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg, where he and his team designed and built a latency monitoring platform for the global equity and options markets, leveraging cutting-edge big data technologies including Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Scala. Struck by the ChatGPT moment, Sam pivoted into AI, immersing himself in both study and hands-on practice.
Earlier in his career, Sam served as an external consultant, delivering enterprise big data systems for clients such as Thomson Reuters and UBS.
Sam holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Since 2022, Sam has served on the core team of TCFA, applying his technical expertise to solve problems and optimize processes, introducing AI into day-to-day operational practice to ensure the success of every event.
