Biography
Emily Yan is Head of Portfolio Strategy at Citadel Global Equities. She oversees capital allocation and risk management for the fund and leads quantitative research and portfolio manager assessment and development.
Prior to joining Citadel, she held senior leadership roles at Point72. She led the firm’s Portfolio Analytics Team and was a key member of the firm’s Risk Committee, Hiring Committee, Executive Committee and Capital Allocation Committee.
Prior to her career at hedge funds, she was VP at Goldman Sachs, leading efforts to optimize and consolidate client execution algos and build out the central risk book for equities trading.
Over her 19 years of experience in equities investing, she built extensive experience in fundamental investing, quantitative research, risk management and automated trading strategies. She is an experienced executive, trusted leader and creative problem solver known to drive commercial success.
Emily earned a BA in International Economics and Trade from Shanghai International Studies University, a MS in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University, and more recently completed the General Management Program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
