Title: Quantitative Trader/Algorithm Developer
Department: Equity Derivatives - Market Making
The Marketing Making business is a brand new business for our New York office and we are seeking someone with trading experience who can also develop algorithm strategies to help build and support Haitong International’s US proprietary market making desk.
Job Description (Primary functions and Essential Responsibilities):
The responsibilities will include:
· Build and support custom trading algorithms following the framework of Haitong Hong Kong
· Help manage connectivity with the firms several trading platforms including Horizon, Fidessa, Thompson Reuters, Imagine, and NASDAQ.
· Work with system partners to implement coding changes as needed.
· Manage proprietary risk positions, monitor trading algorithms and ability to make quick and decisive trading decisions.
· Work with other team members to brainstorm and create trading strategies as well as implement them.
· Other duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related degree required.
· A minimum of 2-4 years technical experience programming, setting up, and maintaining trading systems such as Horizon, Imagine, Fidessa, Thompson Reuters, and NASDAQ.
· Experience with market making and executing of proprietary trades both electronically and manually
· Familiarity with Asia Pacific trading, specifically live Hong Kong trade execution and China based ADRs trading on US Markets
· Knowledge of mainland China market structure and customer base
· Knowledge of US trading markets and trading venues
· Some experience with global equity arbitrage and currency markets
· Basic knowledge of trading Options, futures, derivatives and hedging strategies
· General PC proficiency in PC skills including (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
· Strong quantitative and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex and technical topics
· Proactive, detail oriented and results-oriented with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
· FINRA Series 7, 55 and/or 57 licenses
· Financial Risk Management Certification a plus
· Bilingual - ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese a plus

Title: Assistant Vice President, Risk Management

Job Description (Primary functions and Essential Responsibilities):
The responsibilities will include:
· Assist with the task of measuring and reporting on credit spread, interest rate and liquidity risk exposures from the Fixed Income portfolio focused on Emerging Markets and Asia. This includes understanding of sensitivity measures (DVO1, CR01), market and liquidity risks calculations and P&L explained.
· Daily interaction with the trading desk and Headquarters office in order to assess and monitor risk exposures and approved limits.
· Help in monitoring and reporting pre-settlement risk exposures.
· Prepare periodic risk reports to the headquarters and senior management
· Collaboration in the identification of opportunities to improve risk management and/or business processes.
· Assist to implement operational risk management guidelines from Headquarters.
· Other duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering or related field.
· A Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification is preferred.
· FINRA Series 7 license a plus.
· At least 3-5 years of relevant risk management experience in Fixed Income and/or Equities with a focus on Emerging Markets and Asia.
· Strong quantitative, mathematical, and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex and technical topics.
· Proficiency in computer systems including Excel and VBA, with SQL Server a plus.

Job Description (Primary functions and Essential Responsibilities):
Haitong International is looking for an Intern to assist the Equity Sales and Trading Staff in our New York City Office. This role is to provide candidates front office experience by assisting senior traders. The Intern will perform financial analysis on companies and financial products, prepare reports based on analysis and communicate his/her ideas with team members.
The responsibilities will include:
· Prepare daily reports for institutions globally.
· Work closely with senior traders to perform financial analysis on companies and financial products.
· Participate in special projects with management team.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, MBA candidates, or STEM
· Strong interest in equity market with focus on Chinese ADRs
· Fluent in English and Chinese with the ability to translate in both languages.
· Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
· Strong computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
· Attention to detail.
