Position: Data Analyst

Location: Mid-town New York City, NY

Job type: Part time intern (this role will have the opportunity to be turned into a permanent full time position with H1B visa sponsorship/transfer on good performance review)

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

ChainDD is looking for talented and entrepreneurial data analysts to perform blockchain and cryptocurrency related data research including data gathering, validation, structuring and modeling and to help build a data analytical platform which will support the market updates and digital asset management in our cryptocurrency wallet.

This role encompasses a range of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: 

·         Perform the research on qualified data sources;

·         Collect data from primary and secondary markets, import information into the system database with accuracy and attention to details

·         Work with the technology and product teams to manage and enhance data source

·         Perform data analysis and results interpretation using statistical techniques

·         Identify trends and patterns in complex data sets

·         Perform initial statistical analysis and data validation to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions

·         Participate in project meetings and provide input into analysis and design of data solutions

·         Work with peers in data team to build and improve data analysis process and reports.

·         Document the meta data and analytical process, help build out data driven market insights such as price alerts, abnormal price moves etc.

·         Work with the Marketing team and IT colleagues to implement ideas and strategies for data solutions

·         Help with other tasks as required by supervisor including but not limited to office administration, business writing, event preparation etc (20% of workload)  

Required Skills and Education:

·         BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering

·         Working experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst focusing on large and complex data sets preferred

·         Intensive experience or knowledge in statistical methods (distribution analysis, classification, clustering, etc.) applied to market data analysis.

·         Strong analytical skills and familiar with the analytical tools such as Stata, Excel, Matlab or SAS etc.

·         Analytical, yet able to communicate well with others, both written and spoken

·         Prior experience in finance is a plus

·         Strong interest in Blockchain field and cryptocurrency market

·         Demonstrated ability in innovation, creativity, intuition and outside the box' thinking

·         Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

·         Bilingual, (English & Chinese) speaking preferred
